Zimbabwe international Tawanda Chirewa scored within seconds of coming on as a substitute to give Wolves a 2-1 win at Burnley in the Championship on Friday night.
Chirewa, who turned 23 four days ago, replaced Sean Neave in the 72nd minute and scored with his first involvement at Turf Moor.
“It was an amazing feeling to help the team,” Chirewa said. “I’ve been waiting kind of for my moment and today I’m happy to help the team to win and we hope again on Tuesday.”
Jamie Vardy put Burnley ahead in the 20th minute. Fer Lopez equalised for the visitors 19 minutes later.
The result ended a losing run for Wolves, who were playing their third game in seven days, and lifted them back into the Championship play-off places.
