Zimbabwe international Bruce Houston has been named Coventry Rugby’s CTT Group Player of the Month for September after making an impressive start to his career at the club.
Houston has scored 52 points so far this season, establishing himself as one of Coventry’s key contributors during the opening weeks of the campaign.
The fly-half joined Coventry ahead of the new season and quickly made an impact, scoring 15 points, including a try, in his debut against Rotherham.
He followed that with an 18-point haul in Coventry’s 73-40 victory over Cornish Pirates, before continuing his strong run of form to take his season tally to 52 points.
Houston’s performances have also seen him emerge as one of the leading points scorers in the English Championship.
The award provides further recognition of the Zimbabwean’s excellent start to life at Coventry, with the club supporters voting him their standout player for September.
Houston will now look to build on his strong opening month as Coventry continue their Championship campaign.
