It turns out Zimbabwe rugby international Brandon Mudzekenyedzi may not be the only emerging star in the Mudzekenyedzi family.
The New Zealand-based star was one of the standout performers in the Sables squad which won the Rugby Africa Cup in Uganda in July, ending Zimbabwe’s 12-year wait in the continental competition.
The gifted outside centre, who was previously on the books of Waikato Chiefs in New Zealand, been linked with a move to South Africa after recently training with the United Rugby Championship side Sharks.

However, while Brandon has been making waves on the international scene after his eye catching performances for the Sables, his younger brother Munashe has been making tremendous strides in Australia.
Munashe, whose fledgling rugby career started in New Zealand before his family moved to Australia is set for a breakthrough season at the Melbourne Rebels.
The live wire winger was on Friday named in the Melbourne Rebels Under-19 starting line-up which will run out to face the Waratahs in the opening match of the Super Rugby Under-19 competition at Leichhardt Oval in New South Wales on Sunday.

Munashe made the move to the Rebels after a string of impressive displays for his local club in Geelong, a city southwest of Melbourne, Australia.
Mudzekenyedzi is one of two Zimbabweans named in the Rebels Under-19 starting line-up alongside flank Tinashe Mudanga.
Mudanga is is a former Zimbabwe Under-18 captain and was the headboy at St George’s College last year before moving to Australia.
