Zimbabwe all-rounder Sikandar Raza has been nominated for the ICC Men’s Player of the Month award after another strong run of form for the Chevrons.

Raza is shortlisted alongside India stars Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma for the September award, with the Zimbabwean bidding to claim the honour for a second time.

The 40-year-old was Zimbabwe’s standout performer during the home limited-overs series against Australia, particularly in the three-match ODI series.

Raza scored 57, 45 and an unbeaten 81 to finish with 183 runs at a strike rate of 92.89.

He also contributed with the ball, taking three wickets at an economy rate of 5.46.

His all-round influence continued in the T20I series, where Raza added 90 runs and two wickets.

The nomination comes during another challenging period for Zimbabwe, with Raza once again providing experience and stability in the national side.

He now faces strong competition from Gill, who is chasing a fifth Player of the Month award after a prolific ODI run against the West Indies, including a century and a record-breaking 223.

Abhishek, the September 2025 Player of the Month, completes the shortlist after smashing 108 from just 34 balls against Afghanistan, including the fastest T20I century by an Indian batter.

Raza previously won the ICC Men’s Player of the Month award and will now hope his performances against Australia are enough to earn him the honour for a second time.
