Warriors legend, Benjani Mwaruwari started his coaching reign at Ngezi Platinum Stars with a draw against Bulawayo Chiefs in the Castle Premier Soccer League on Sunday.

Veteran striker Obrey Chirinda threatened to spoil Benjani Mwaruwari’s coaching debut when he thrust Bulawayo Chiefs into an early lead.

However, Denver Mukamba rescued a point for the Mhondoro Ngezi based side at Luveve Stadium as Mwaruwari took charge for the first time since his appointment.

Elsewhere, Dynamos moved within a point of log leaders, Chicken Inn after edging Black Rhinos 2-1 at the National Sports Stadium with teenage sensation, Bill Antonio grabbing the winner three minutes from full time.

Emmanuel Paga thrust Dynamos into the lead in the first minute but Rhinos levelled matters 30 minutes later when Blessed Mbavarira converted from the spot.

It was however Antonio who was the hero of the day when he sealed victory for DeMbare in the 87th minute.

Caps United’s resurgence has been halted by Tenax after Makepekepe lost 2-1 to the Mutare based outfit at Sakubva stadium.

Goal-shy Highlanders played out to a goalless draw against Triangle at Gibbo stadium.

After 10 rounds of matches, Chicken Inn sit at the top of the log with 23 points followed by Dynamos on 22, while Triangle are third with 20 points.

Early pace setters, Manica Diamonds conclude the top four with 19 points.
