Zimbabwean rugby star Lovejoy Chawatama is facing on the sidelines at Premiership Rugby side Bristol Bears after suffering an injury setback.
The 32-year-old frontrower pulled his calf during the warm-up of the Bears’ 35-7 defeat to La Rochelle away at the Stade Marcel Deflandre in the second pool stage game of the Investec Champions Cup
Bristol director of rugby Pat Lam told BristolLive: “Lovejoy pulled his calf in the warm-up of the game. We are unfortunate with Lovejoy, he looks set to be out for three months I would say,” Lam said.
The 31-year-old prop joined Bristol Bears from Harlequins ahead of the start of the new season.
He previously spent more than six years with London Irish and played more than 50 games until the club went into administration.
