Medical service provider Cimas has expressed delight at the growth of the iGo Corporate Challenge event which has been part of the 2022 Bonaqua Africa Triathlon Cup Troutbeck Multisport Festival for the past three years.

The Africa Triathlon Cup was staged last weekend at the Troutbeck Resort in Nyanga.

Cimas are one of the sponsors of the Troutbeck Africa Triathlon Cup through the iGo Corporate Challenge which attracted record entries this year with a total of 16 teams taking part.

Mashonaland Tobacco Company were crowned champions at this year’s edition of the Corporate Challenge beating Cimas into second place while Freight World settled for third.

Cimas managing director Tinotenda Mushapaidze who also participated in one of the company’s three teams that took part in the challenge expressed the desire to see the event grow bigger.

“We are here to stay. This is our third year, we started in 2019 and we would like our sponsorship and our relevance in this event to grow. We want to ensure that the person is well holistically and we hope that this movement will grow stronger and people will live healthier and longer lives through iGo Corporate Challenge,” Mushapaidze said.

“We had 16 corporates so the Cimas iGo Corporate Challenge is also growing from strength to strength. For Cimas health and wellness are very important so our purpose is to inspire healthier communities by providing global standards and wellness solutions. And so by partnering with Bonaqua as well as Triathlon Zimbabwe we feel that we are also educating and enlightening people about health and wellness.

“This is a start and we have other projects that we currently have in the pipeline in terms of wellness and other products that have to do with wellness,” she added.

Mushapaidze revealed that the organisation is also sponsoring other sporting disciplines other than triathlon.

“We do a lot of sponsorship as well for sporting disciplines like, rugby,  golf  and we recently did the Break The Bias women’s basketball tournament. So as part of the wellness initiative, the physical side of wellness since we focus on eight dimensions, we try to ensure that where we can and where we have capacity we also sponsor the relevant disciplines.

“We are sponsoring the Lady Sevens Rugby tournament as they prepare for the regional tournament. They have a tournament this weekend in Harare as well as next week before they leave for the games,” she said.
