Zimbabwe international defender Tendayi Darikwa has signed a one-year contract extension with the League One club Lincoln City.
The 33-year-old former Nottingham Forest, Burnley and Wigan Athletic right-back has impressed since signing a one-year deal this summer, already making 27 appearances and contributing three goals as an attacking right-back or wing-back.

Darikwa, who returned to English football with Lincoln after a season in the Cyprus top flight with Apollon Limassol, now also has a further 12-month option with the Imps that could keep him at the LNER Stadium until the summer of 2027.
“Tendayi is a an exemplary professional, massively impacting the group with his leadership on and off the pitch since he joined us last summer,” Lincoln boss Michael Skubala told the club website.
He added: “Tendayi has performed to a high level in his favoured position and also helped the team by filling in at centre back when required. He trains every day, is available every game, sets standards in everything he does and is a brilliant influence on our young players. We are delighted to have formalised his contract with us for the next 18 months so that all parties have certainty for next season.”
