Zimbabwe Warriors defender Teenage Hadebe will stay in Major League Soccer for at least another season after FC Cincinnati exercised the option on his contract for 2026.

The American club confirmed the decision in their end-of-season roster update, announcing that Hadebe is among six players whose options have been picked up following the 2025 campaign.

The move secures the 29-year-old’s place in a defensive unit that also includes Matt Miazga, Miles Robinson and ÁLvaro Barreal.

Hadebe joined Cincinnati in mid-2024 and has steadily grown into a reliable presence at the back, impressing with his athleticism, recovery pace and experience at international level.

His extension ensures continuity for the club as they reshape their squad ahead of the 2026 MLS season.

Cincinnati also confirmed the departure of several players whose options were declined, while remaining in talks with others about potential returns.

With 21 players already under contract, the club is expected to continue strengthening its roster in the coming weeks.

For Hadebe, the extension marks another positive step in his MLS journey—one that keeps him firmly in the picture as he continues representing Zimbabwe abroad.
