Zimbabwe’s gifted tennis siblings Benjamin and Courtney Lock celebrated their first tournament victory together on the ITF Men’s World Tennis Tour in two years after clinching the doubles title at the Sezzeruela Open in Bogota, Colombia on Sunday.

The gifted brothers had to dig deep to on their way to a hard-fought 7-6(3), 7-5 win against Dominican Republic’s Peter Bertran and Netherland’s Thijmen Loof in a tightly contested final on the clay courts at the
Country Club Serrezuela in the South American nation.

It was the first win for Benjamin and Courtney since winning a silver medal together in the men’s tennis competition at last month’s 13th African Games in Accra, Ghana.

The victory was also special for the Locks, who last celebrated a victory together in May, 2022 at the M15 Oran Open in Algeria.

The Lock brothers have now won 17 ITF Men’s World Tennis Tour doubles titles together since winning their first doubles title together eight years ago in Mozambique.

Benjamin is also a winner on the ATP Challenger Tour, which is the feeder circuit to the top tier ATP World Tour.
