Mallorca says goodbye to Tino Kadewere

MALLORCA –  Zimbabwean forward, on loan from Olympique de Lyon, will return to the discipline of the French team after a season in which he has performed well below expectations
He has only scored one goal in fifteen league games.

It was an open secret that Tino Kadewere would not stay at Real Mallorca . This morning, through their social networks, the vermilion club said goodbye to him , making it clear that the purchase clause included in the loan with Olympique de Lyon will not be effective (of about nine million euros) and that the Zimbabwean footballer will not be part of the team next season.

Despite the expectations generated by his signing, the truth is that Kadewere, whose transfer cost around 400,000 euros , has performed at a level well below expectations.

With only one goal in fifteen games , he was destined to be important in Javier Aguirre ‘s scheme as a complement to Muriqi up front, but he has never quite found the necessary regularity and has finished the championship anchored to the bench, and failed to participate in a lot of matches.

His muscle injury shortly before the World Cup in the week in which he was to make his debut further delayed his incorporation into the dynamics of the first team.

Despite enjoying several opportunities, only before in the victory against Villarreal (4-2) did he perform at a high level. With their goodbye on Kadewere and that of Ángel Rodríguez from Tenerife, who is not renewing either, Mallorca now only has Muriqi and Abdón Prats up front.
