Zimbabwe fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani has been retained by Gulf Giants for the 2026-27 International League T20 season.

The inaugural ILT20 champions confirmed Muzarabani’s retention ahead of the Season 5 player auction, with the Zimbabwe international returning to the franchise after an injury ruled him out of last season’s campaign.

Muzarabani, one of Zimbabwe’s leading fast bowlers, has taken 22 wickets in 17 matches for Gulf Giants since joining the franchise in 2023.

His most productive campaign came in the 2024-25 season, when he claimed 16 wickets in 10 matches.

The Giants have also retained Afghanistan all-rounder Azmatullah Omarzai, while South African internationals David Miller and Heinrich Klaasen have been secured as pre-auction signings.

The four established internationals will form part of Gulf Giants’ squad as they attempt to reclaim the title they won in the competition’s inaugural season in 2023.

The fifth ILT20 season is scheduled to run from November 22 to December 20, 2026, according to the tournament organisers.

Muzarabani’s retention provides the Zimbabwean quick with another opportunity to compete in one of the leading franchise T20 leagues in the world after establishing himself as a regular presence in global T20 competitions.
