Zimbabwe international Jordan Zemura has expressed his delight after scoring his first goal in the Italian Serie A for his side Udinese in a 1-1 draw against Cagliari on Sunday.

The former Bournemouth utility player’s goal saw him becoming the first Zimbabwean to score in the Italian topflight league.

The 24-year-old is enjoying game time under coach Gabrielle Ciofi.

Zemura has made 18 appearances in his debut season in Italy despite recently missing some matches due to injury.

A week after playing a key role in Udinese’s shock win at giants Juventus, Zemura opened the scoring account for his side in the 14th minute before his goal was cancelled by Cagliari’s Gaetano two minutes before halftime.

The Zimbabwean talented left-back was substituted after minutes for Irish player Festy Ebosele as Udinese pushed to secure the win.

Sunday’s result left Zemura’s Udinese in position 14 with 23 points, while their opponents Cagliari who are 19th on the log with 19 points.
