However, the mood in the Zimbabwe camp is equally charged with motivation, following their recent one-off Test outing in England.
Zimbabwe Head Coach Justin Sammons expressed his satisfaction with the squad’s rigorous training sessions. “There’s a real buzz around the squad. I think they’re very excited,” he said after Monday’s session.
“I’m super excited for the challenge that lies ahead and the guys are amped for it. They’re looking forward to testing themselves and showing what they’re capable of. I think they really want to make a statement over the next couple of weeks.”
The team has been undergoing high-volume training days, focusing on building intensity and covering all fundamental aspects of their game.
Despite the demanding schedule, Sammons lauded the players’ unwavering enthusiasm and commitment. “The attitude is good. It’s always good. We can never fault the attitude,” he remarked.
