Zimbabwe international Tivonge Rushesha has completed a move to Bosnian Premier League club FK Radnik Bijeljina ahead of the 2026/27 season, as the versatile defender looks to revive his career following his departure from English side Reading.
The 23-year-old became a free agent at the end of last season after Reading opted not to renew his contract, bringing an end to his two-year stay at the League One club.
Rushesha joined Reading from Championship outfit Swansea City in 2023 and made 38 appearances across all competitions. However, he found first-team opportunities limited, spending much of his time featuring for the club’s Under-21 and Under-23 sides.
The move to FK Radnik Bijeljina offers the Zimbabwe international a fresh opportunity to establish himself in senior football as the Bosnian outfit prepares for the new league campaign.
Founded in 1945, FK Radnik Bijeljina is one of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s established clubs, having won the Bosnia and Herzegovina Cup in 2016 and gone on to compete in the UEFA Europa League qualifying rounds.
The club plays its home matches at the Bijeljina City Stadium, which has a capacity of 6,000.
Rushesha, who has represented Zimbabwe at senior international level, will be hoping regular first-team football in Bosnia helps him continue his development and strengthen his place in the Warriors setup.
