Fresh from their historic run at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 campaign in India and SriLanka, Zimbabwe will return home for a highly anticipated all-format series against Bangladesh next month.
Zimbabwe Cricket confirmed on Friday that Bangladesh will tour the country for a full international assignment featuring a one-off Test, three One Day Internationals and three T20 Internationals in Harare and Bulawayo.
The series marks Zimbabwe’s first home international assignment of the year and comes at a time of renewed optimism surrounding the national team following their best-ever finish at a T20 World Cup, where they advanced to the Super Eights as group winners.
The tour will begin with a one-off Test match at Harare Sports Club on June 28 before the teams battle in a three-match ODI series at the same venue on July 6, 9 and 11.
The action will then shift to Queens Sports Club for a three-match T20I series scheduled for July 15, 17 and 19.
Zimbabwe Cricket Managing Director Givemore Makoni said the upcoming series is an important milestone for Zimbabwe cricket following the team’s recent progress on the international stage.
“We are delighted to confirm Bangladesh’s tour of Zimbabwe for what we expect to be a highly competitive and exciting series across all formats,” Makoni said.
“This tour is hugely significant for us as it marks the return of top-level international cricket to our home venues following the team’s outstanding performances at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup earlier this year.”
“Our supporters have every reason to be proud of what we have achieved in recent months, and we are looking forward to seeing fans once again rally behind the team in Harare and Bulawayo.”
Bangladesh last toured Zimbabwe for Test cricket in 2021, winning the one-off Test by 220 runs in a match that marked Mahmudullah Riyad’s retirement from the format.
However, Zimbabwe enjoyed success the last time the two sides met in white-ball cricket at home in 2022, winning both the ODI and T20I series 2-1.
