Zimbabwe will tour Bangladesh for a two-match Test series in April, the Bangladesh Cricket Board has confirmed.
The first Test will be played at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Sylhet from 20 to 24 April, while the second will take place at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram from 28 April to 2 May.
Zimbabwe last played a Test in Bangladesh in February 2020, when the hosts won a one-off match in Dhaka by an innings and 106 runs.
“We are pleased to confirm our Test tour to Bangladesh, which presents an excellent opportunity for our players to gain valuable experience in challenging conditions,” Zimbabwe Cricket Managing Director Givemore Makoni said.
“Test cricket remains a crucial part of our development strategy, and we are eager to put in strong performances against a competitive Bangladesh side.”
The series follows Zimbabwe’s recent home Test matches against Afghanistan and Ireland. The squad for the tour will be announced in due course.
