Harare giants Dynamos ended an eight match winless run in the league after a hard-fought 1 – 0 over defending champions Simba Bhora at Rufaro on Sunday.
It was Dynamos’ first win of the season, coming after four matches while it was the Glamour Boys’ first win since a 2 – 0 win over FC Platinum at the same event on November 2, 2024.
Since then, the team managed two defeats and five draws.Versatile midfielder Shadreck Nyahwa was at the right place at the right time to slot home the winner after a mistake by the Simba Bhora goalkeeper William Thole.
The victory saw Dynamos climb to sixth on the log standings with six points from a possible 12.
The biggest game of the Week 4 fixtures Bulawayo giants Highlanders played a 1 – 1 draw with flamboyant newcomers Scottland FC.
But it was Gweru-based side TelOne FC who made the biggest statement from the weekend after they beat CAPS United 1 – 0 at Ascot Stadium on Saturday to move into third place early in the season.
Debutants MWOS FC also managed to salvage a point away at FC Platinum as they continue to enjoy a brilliant start to the season.
Miners Ngezi Platinum Stars, who won the title in 2023, have been quietly doing their business rebuilding a new team after losing no less than 13 players last season and find themselves on top of the standings with 10 points thus far.
