Dynamos have temporarily suspended head coach Tonderai Ndiraya amid allegations of corruption and insubordination.
Ndiraya’s suspension was announced following a meeting held by the club’s executive along with majority shareholder Benard Marriott-Lusengo in Harare on Saturday.
The club did not reveal the reasons for the surprise move but sources have revealed that Ndiraya is facing allegations of corruption and insubordination.
The Glamour Boys are expected to make a final decision on Ndiraya’s future before their next match against Herentals next weekend.
His assistants Naison Muchekela and Gift Muzadzi will be in interim charge of the team until a final decision on Ndiraya had been reached by the club.
“We write to advise all stakeholders that our head coach, Tonderai Ndiraya has been temporarily asked not to report for duty with immediate effect pursuant to a meeting that was held on 21st May 2022,” Dynamos said in a statement.
“The club is not in a position to discuss the details of this development until the internal due process is finalized.”
The decision to suspend Ndiraya will surprise the club’s fans as he has managed to transform Dynamos this season with the club just a single point behind leaders Chicken Inn after 15 rounds of fixtures.
