Children cancer relief organisation KidzCan Zimbabwe have earned US$4 300 from their partnership with the country’s top golfers Scott and Kieran Vincent following their performance at LIV Golf Chicago last week.
The Vincent brothers announced a partnership with the charity organisation under the theme: ‘Birdies for a Better Tomorrow ahead of the season ending LIV Golf event for individuals.
In the benevolent arrangement, Scott and Kieran Vincent pledged to donate US$500 for every eagle they shoot and US$200 for every birdie.
And despite failing to avoid relegation from the LIV Golf League, the two golf siblings managed to make US$4 300 during the three rounds at Bolingbrook Golf Club.
Kieran Vincent contributed the bigger share of the amount after he shot an eagle and 11 birdies in the tournament for a total of US$2 700 while Scott Vincent managed eight birdies which amounted to US$1 600.
However, the two golfers finished in a tie for 23rd on over level par.
Despite suffering the dreaded chop from the lucrative golf league, the two brothers have a chance at redemption when they take part in the LIV Golf Promotions event later this year.
Only the top three golfers at the end of the competition will earn a place in the LIV Golf League next year.
The Vincent brothers play in the LIV Golf Team championship in Dallas which tees off today.
