Zimbabwe women’s cricket team star all-rounder Precious Marange has been nominated for International Cricket Council (ICC) Player of the Month for December.
Marange, a multi-talented sportswoman, who has over the years represented the country with distinction in both rugby and cricket, earned the high profile nomination following her impressive individual performances during the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier in Uganda late last year.
Zimbabwe went on to win the regional Qualifier to book their place in the global qualifying tournament.

The star in Zimbabwe’s successful qualifying campaign was the 41-year-old Marange as she finished as the top wicket-taker with 13 scalps.
Marange was in devastating form in Uganda as she raked up 13 wickets in five matches and in the final against Uganda.
She capped off a memorable campaign in the final against the hosts Uganda where she claimed a historic hat-trick on her way to finishing with incredible bowling figures of five wickets for seven runs in four overs.
In the two preceding games against Tanzania and Namibia that were instrumental to Zimbabwe’s qualification, Marange again starred with three-wicket hauls.
