Zimbabwe international Tawanda Maswanhise has capped off a successful debut season at Scottish Premiership outfit by winning the Goal of the Season Award on Saturday night.
Maswanhise’s strike in a 2-2 draw against Rangers on December 29 has been chosen by the Motherwell supporters as their favourite the campaign, picking up the majority of the fans’ vote.
The 22-year-old former Leicester City starlet scored five goals and provided three assists in 27 outings in his first season with Motherwell following his move last August.

During the season Maswanhise was voted the Club’s Player of the Month on two occasions.
He also established himself for his native Zimbabwe, scoring a maiden international goal in a game against Kenya which confirmed their qualification for this year’s Africa Cup of Nations finals in Morocco.
Maswanhise also provided an assist for Tawanda Chirewa to score a last gasp equaliser in Zimbabwe’s one-all draw in a World Cup qualifier in Nigeria recently.
