Sikandar Raza is relishing the prospect of leading the Dubai Capitals to their maiden International League T20 title after being named the franchise’s captain ahead of the third season of the competition which gets underway on Saturday.
Raza’s Dubai Capitals will get their campaign underway with a potentially thrilling clash against reigning champions MI Emirates in a rematch of last season’s final, at the Dubai International Stadium.

After being named the competition’s MVP last season, Raza says he is aiming to lead his team to title glory.
“This is my third year with the Dubai Capitals, and it’s great to be with them again. Winning the MVP award last year was nice, but it would have been even better to lift the trophy,” Raza said.
“Having nine international players in the playing eleven certainly makes it one of the toughest leagues in the world. Hopefully, we can take that extra step this year, building on the lessons we learned last season.”
