Zimbabwe international Marshall Munetsi continued his fine goal-scoring form during his loan spell at Paris FC, netting a crucial equaliser in a 1-1 draw against FC Lorient on Sunday.
The midfielder, currently on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers, once again proved influential in the final third, taking his tally to four goals this season.
Playing at the Stade du Moustoir, Munetsi struck in the 67th minute under unusual circumstances. A defensive error from Lorient saw a misplaced cross fall into the box, with the ball deflecting off the Zimbabwean’s back and looping into the net to level the scores.
Despite the fortuitous nature of the goal, it underlined Munetsi’s growing attacking impact and ability to be in the right place at the right time.
The result earned Paris FC a valuable point, helping them maintain 13th position on the table with 32 points as they continue their push for stability in the league.
Munetsi’s consistent contributions in both midfield and attack are quickly making him a key figure during his stint in Paris, highlighting his importance since arriving from Wolves.
