Scott Vincent finishes solo fourth in LIV Golf-Singapore

Zimbabwe golf star Scott Vincent carded a closing four-under-par 67 in the third and final round of LIV Golf’s Singapore tournament to finish in fourth place at Sentosa Golf Club on Sunday.

Although he was unable to repeat his heroics of the second round when he set a course record of nine-under-par 62 to get into contention, his five birdies and just a single bogey in the final round saw him finish on 15-under-par, just two shots off the lead.

It was Vincent’s best finish on the LIV Golf circuit.

Vincent was two shots behind Talor Gooch of the United States and Spain’s Sergio Garcia, who could not be separated after 54 holes at 17-under-par each.

Gooch won the sudden-death play-off on the first extra hole with a birdie to become the first player in the short history of LIV Golf to win in back-to-back weeks.

American four-time major champion Brooks Koepka finished solo third at 16-under par after a closing four-under-par 67.

Koepka was a shot ahead of Vincent, who put up a valiant fight before an hour-long weather suspension led to a bogey from a difficult lie in the bunker on the 16th hole.

How, but a birdie on the 18th helped him finish solo fourth at 15-under par.
