Zimbabwe international defender Munashe Garananga has been named in the Danish Superliga Team of the Week following his impressive performance in Lyngby Boldklub’s 2-0 away victory over Viborg FF.
The 24-year-old centre-back played the full 90 minutes as Lyngby kept a clean sheet and secured all three points on Friday.
Garananga’s commanding display at the heart of the defence earned him a place in the Matchday 7 Team of the Week, further recognition of his growing influence since joining Lyngby on loan from FC Copenhagen.
The selection is another boost for the Zimbabwe international, who has enjoyed a strong run of form in Denmark and continues to establish himself as a key player for Lyngby.
Garananga will also be hoping to carry that form into the international break after being included in Zimbabwe’s squad for the upcoming 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
