Highly-rated Zimbabwean winger Bill Antonio has expressed his desire to make a breakthrough move to Europe’s top five leagues in the near future, as his stature continues to grow at Belgian top-tier side KV Mechelen.
Reports in Belgium have linked Antonio with a big money move away from the club but the Zimbabwe international is not thinking about leaving yet.
“My personal ambition is to play in one of the top five competitions one day, but that is still in the future. For now, I am doing well at KV Mechelen,” he says in an interview with Gazet van Antwerpen .
“In the long term, I want to show an even better version of myself.”

The 22-year-old former Dynamos star was one of the breakout stars at Belgian top-tier side KV Mechelen last season, catching the eye with his attacking play.
However, a serious injury kept him on the sidelines since March last year after just earning a contract extension amid interest from top clubs in Germany and France.
After months of rehabilitation, Antonio is now getting back to his best form with three assists already from nine appearances – mostly as a substitute -since his return from a long-term injury in January.
