Sables star Tapiwa Mafura is aiming to finish what has been a remarkable season in South Africa on a high by helping the Pumas win their maiden Currie Cup trophy on Saturday.
Mafura was named in an unchanged Pumas team which will face Griquas in the Currie Cup final in Kimberley.
The Pumas coach Jimmy Stonehouse has rewarded the team that beat the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein by giving them a crack in the final as they seek their first-ever Currie Cup title.
For several of the players is will be their last game in the famous pink jersey before heading elsewhere.
These players include the likes of the captain Willie Engelbrecht, the flanker Daniel Maartens and outside back Tapiwa Mafura.
The Cheetahs bound Mafura told OFM Sport that they want to go out with a bang.
“We are looking forward to the game on the weekend.
“We’ve had good prep going into the final and the motivation and confidence is very high within the squad.
