Norwich City prospect Lucien Mahovo has earned a new three-year deal just six months after moving to Carrow Road.
A club option to extend that by a further 12 months is also included, rewarding a fast start to Mahovo’s time in Norfolk.
The career left-back, who has also played in midfield for City’s under-21s, was signed from Notts County for the Canaries’ development squad in July last year, but has already made a significant impression on first-team head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup.
He’s regularly trained with the Dane’s senior group, as well as making matchday squads in both the Championship and the FA Cup.
The most recent of those came in Saturday’s 4-0 loss to Brighton, for which he was an unused substitute.

That progress has led to efforts from Ben Knapper to tie him down to a longer-term contract, taking his stay up until 2028 at least.
The 19-year-old told official club channels of the deal: “It’s a great feeling for me. It’s nice to be rewarded and it’s just giving me more motivation to kick on.
“I think I’ve settled in very well. All the people at the club, around the first team and the under-21s, are all great. They’ve helped me to settle in and be a good player.”
Sporting director Knapper added: “We’re delighted to secure Lucien on a new long-term contract.
“He’s made great progress since joining us in the summer, and he’s someone who we feel has big potential going forwards. He has a very well-rounded profile, and his ability to take on and apply information and feedback is a real strength.
“If he continues to apply himself in the way that he has, we see him as having an exciting future with us as part of our first-team group.
“We’re delighted for both Lucien and his family, and we look forward to continuing our journey with him.”
Mahovo was born in England but is eligible to represent Zimbabwe at international level through his father.
