Zimbabwe international Keegan Joubert has joined Currie Cup First Division side Leopards Rugby Union, his representatives, Jacobus Coetzee Sports Agent, said in a statement.
Joubert, a 26-year-old scrumhalf, comes from Durbanville-Bellville, whom he recently helped reach the semi-finals of the Gold Cup, South Africa’s leading knockout competition for non-university clubs.
“We would like to congratulate Keegan Joubert on signing with Leopards Rugby for the upcoming season,” the agency said. “We are confident that Keegan Joubert will do his best and use this opportunity to grow as a player.”
Joubert, who was born in Durban, played for North-West University and the University of Johannesburg in the Varsity Cup.
He then played for Italian clubs Badia and Rovigo and Dutch side Hoek van Holland between 2022 and 2024, after completing a BA in Sport Science.
He is a product of Stellenberg High School in Cape Town and has played international rugby for Zimbabwe.
