Daniel Msendami has returned to Marumo Gallants on loan from Orlando Pirates as the winger looks to secure more regular playing time.
The 25-year-old joined Pirates midway through last season but struggled to establish himself in the first team, making 11 appearances across all competitions and playing a total of 310 minutes. Most of those appearances came from the bench.
His return to Gallants takes him back to a club where he previously enjoyed regular football before earning his move to the Soweto side.
Msendami made 49 appearances during his season-and-a-half spell with Gallants and will now hope to rediscover the form that made him one of the club’s key players.
Regular game time could also prove important for Msendami’s international ambitions.
The winger has won 14 caps for Zimbabwe and was included in the provisional squad named by new Warriors coach Ramon Catala for the upcoming 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Zimbabwe face Sierra Leone and the Democratic Republic of Congo later this month, with Msendami hoping his return to Gallants will help him retain his place when Catala names his final squad.
The move offers Msendami an opportunity to rebuild momentum at a familiar club after a difficult spell for playing time at Pirates.
