Zimbabwean professional golfer Kieran Vincent has taken a significant step toward securing a place on the PGA Tour, advancing to the Second Stage of the PGA Tour Qualifying School.
He finished in a tie for 14th at the First Stage event held at Rockwall Golf & Athletic Club in Rockwall, Texas.
Vincent, who is aiming to return to top-tier competition following his departure from the LIV Golf circuit last year, carded rounds of 67, 71, 68, and 73 for a nine-under-par total of 279.
The top 18 players from the field earned passage to the next stage of qualifying.
With the first hurdle cleared, the talented Zimbabwean will now join other PGA Tour hopefuls at one of five Second Stage qualifying sites, scheduled from December 2–5.
Those who make it through will advance to the Final Stage, set for December 11–14 at the prestigious TPC Sawgrass.
The most recent Zimbabwe‑born golfer to hold full status on the PGA Tour is Brendon de Jonge.

I think Dean Burmester had full pga tour status before joking LIV… I stand to be corrected.
