Zimbabwe’s top female triathlete, Andie Kuipers, made a successful return to the continental circuit by clinching a bronze medal at the 2025 Africa Triathlon Sprint Championships held in the stunning city of Al Galala, Egypt.
In an exhilarating race that showcased incredible endurance, skill, and determination, Kuipers finished in third position while also claiming a gold medal in the U23 Womens category.
The Africa Triathlon Sprint Championships, one of the most prestigious events in the African Triathlon calendar, brought together top athletes from across the continent, competing in a fast-paced race that tests both physical and mental strength. The race featured a 750-meter swim, a 20-kilometer bike ride, and a 5-kilometer run—each demanding discipline and focus from the athletes.
Andie Kuipers, known for her resilience and exceptional athleticism, faced off against some of Africa’s finest female triathletes.
Despite the intense competition and challenging course, Kuipers’ strategic pacing and impressive stamina saw her secure a podium spot, earning the coveted bronze medal.
