Southern Rocks completed a remarkable domestic double after cruising to the 2025/26 Pro50 Championship title with a dominant eight-wicket win over Mountaineers at Masvingo Sports Club.
Having already secured the 2025/26 Logan Cup crown, the Masvingo-based side capped off a dream season in style, powered by standout performances from Matthew Campbell and Innocent Kaia.
Campbell delivered a true all-round display, first starring with the ball as he claimed 3/41 in his 10 overs to help bowl out Mountaineers for 230 in 49.2 overs.
He was well supported by Shelton Mazvitorera, who chipped in with 3/31 from 6.2 overs in a disciplined bowling effort.
The young all-rounder, who is the son of former Zimbabwe captain Alistair Campbell and teamates with his brother Jonathan in the Rocks side then backed it up with the bat, scoring a vital 67 off 79 balls to steady the chase and lay the foundation for victory.

Kaia took over from there, producing a superb unbeaten 112 off 113 deliveries to guide Southern Rocks home with ease. The hosts reached the target in just 40.4 overs, losing only two wickets in a commanding run chase.
The victory not only secured Southern Rocks’ second-ever Pro50 Championship title — their first since the 2010/11 season — but also confirmed their dominance across formats this season.
Completing the domestic double is a significant milestone for the franchise, underlining their resurgence as a powerhouse in Zimbabwean cricket, with Campbell and Kaia at the heart of their success.
