Zimbabwean-born striker Lee Ndlovu has taken another step forward in his English football journey after completing a move to League Two side Notts County from Barnet for an undisclosed fee.
The 31-year-old forward has signed an 18-month deal at Meadow Lane, with the option for the club to extend his stay by a further year.
Ndlovu was an important figure for Barnet last season, scoring 10 goals in 42 appearances as the Bees powered their way to promotion from the National League. His physical presence, work rate and ability to trouble defenders have now earned him a move to one of the most historic clubs in the English lower divisions.
Notts County director of football Richard Montague did not hide his excitement at landing the Zimbabwe-born attacker.
“Lee is a player we’ve admired for a long time and adds another dimension to what is already a very strong attack. He’s extremely powerful, a constant menace to defenders and someone who will create space for others in the attacking third,” Montague told the club’s website.

Born in Zimbabwe but still uncapped at senior international level, Ndlovu’s steady rise in England continues to fuel debate among local fans who believe his performances deserve a closer look from the Warriors technical team.
After starting his football path in Zimbabwe, Ndlovu relocated to England and worked his way up through non-league football, turning out for Oadby Town, Grantham Town, Ilkeston and Brackley Town before earning a breakthrough move to National League side Boreham Wood.
At Boreham Wood, he scored 33 goals in 114 appearances and even netted against Notts County in a dramatic play-off semi-final at Meadow Lane — a performance that clearly left a lasting impression.
He joined Barnet in January last year and played a key role in their promotion to League Two.
Now at Notts County, Ndlovu’s journey continues upward — and back home in Zimbabwe, many will be watching closely, wondering how long his name can remain absent from a Warriors squad list.
